There are three major national Labor Laws. Compare and contrast each one, in order to identify the major factors associated to each law. Are these laws necessary? Please explain.

  • Include cover page and reference page.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.

National Labor Laws

National labor laws outline the rights and obligations of employees, employers, and labor
unions in the US. The main goal of labor laws is to provide a legal framework for remedying the
inequality of the bargaining power between employees and employers. As such, this paper
compares and contrasts three major national labor laws so as to identify main factors related to
each law and if these laws are necessary.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) executes federal statutes that
prohibit employment discrimination. The discrimination laws ensure that one is protected against
different types of employment segregation that include unfair treatment because of their race,
color, religion, origin, sex, age and disability (U.S Department of Labor, n.d). These laws also
protect against any harassment and discrimination by all people in the workplace, denial of a
reasonable accommodation in the workplace and any retaliation emanating from complains in the
workplace. Laws that deal with discrimination include Title VII which prevents segregation on
