Utilitarian based on their philosophy of well-being of all is likely to some extent be
unhappy with the intellectual property protection. To begin with, it is significant to understand
that utilitarian believe in the fact that an action can only be moral if the at the end of the action,
the results are for the well-being of sentient entities. In the end, an action should bring pleasure
but ensure there is no pain to others (Solove, Rotenberg & Schwartz, 2006). Based on this
approach, it is likely that utilitarian will dislike property rights since it is seen to hinder creativity
where creativity is for the general good of everyone. Intellectual property ensures that a person’s
ideas whether tangible or intangible are not used by another individual or copied. It is, however,
