A company’s benefits plan is a very important recruitment tool as well as a substantial
method which ensures the employees in an organization remain motivated, engaged and
satisfied. A company that offers a competitive benefits package which includes good benefits
and compensation package that is slightly higher than what is provided by other companies in the
industry is likely to attract more qualified candidates for a job opening (Nazari, 2014) .
Being the Director of HR in our company, I understand the significance of having a
competitive benefits plan which includes a good compensation and specific benefits package.
This is the main determinant of whether employees will be motivated, satisfied and engaged in
the organization. Having been tasked with the responsibility of offering a new employee with a
competitive compensation and specific benefits package, I will design a flexible benefits
program for him. The flexible benefits plan will provide the employee with an opportunity to
choose the benefits he wants from a number of alternatives I will have provided. The flexible
