Yes. First, it has a high star-studded cast and production values which adheres to the commercial
genre films run through Hong Kong New Wave. The cast and crew of the Infernal Affairs have
been linked with the Hong Kong New Wave, primarily the visual style and color timing in the
processing laboratory that exhibit the New Wave texture. Also, it places the virtuosity of
cinematography in the foreground by including the dramatic contrast of field size and movement.
