Define and describe the major sections of a research report used in counselling
psychology research.
The main parts included in a counselling psychology research includes; a title, an abstract, an
introduction, methods used to collect data. Also, there are the results of the findings,
discussion of the findings and finally the references (Rea, L. M., & Parker, R. A. (2014). A
title is a section which tells more about what is being researched, and an abstract is a brief
description of the whole paper. An introduction is a part that explains to the reader the
purpose of researching while method section tells more on how the data related to the
research was collected. Results is a section which provides a reader with the findings of the
research; discussion is a part discusses in depth on findings of the study. Finally is the
reference part which tells on the materials that the researcher used to guide him in his
research.
