Description

Each student is required to conduct and record a ½ hour long interview with a person in a management position in an organization. The recording may be audio or video. You should choose a person to interview and make an appointment explaining that the purpose of the interview is to learn about leadership and gain practical insights. Note also that the leadership interview is an accreditation requirement for the HCAD program. You are not required to submit the recording to this class.

The interview must be transcribed and presented as a written report. The report should be no less than 6 typed pages, double spaced, 1-inch margins, and Times New Roman, 12 point font. The report must have 4 elements:

  1. Cover page: Your name, course number, and date
  2. Introduction: Who you interviewed and why (credentials, experience, position, etc.).

You are encouraged to develop your own inquiry. This is an opportunity to explore the intangible factors of leadership.

During an interview I conducted on leadership skills, I interviewed my manager, the
network operations director of Medicare Advantage Plan at Cigna Health spring. The reason
why I chose to interview her is that she has led for a long time and as time goes by, his work
has proven helpful to the organization, and his success is like a song; talked about by almost
everyone in the organization and the state. The manager has been in the Network Operations
for approximately six years. She started as a field representative and worked her way to the
Network Operations Administrator and then to the Network Operations manager and is
currently an Operations Director. Through hard work, she managed to move from one
position to the other until she reached the top position. She is based in Mid-Atlantic,
Pennsylvania region. She pursued her bachelor's degree in Business and certified in Change
Management. Her main role in the organization is Healthcare management. The interview

How did you get to where you are today?
Getting to the position I am now was not easy. As a child, I grew up in a
neighbourhood where not everyone had everything needed in life. The medical services were
not equally offered because of the difference in class; some were favoured while others left to
their miseries. For instance, those who could not pay their medical bills were not well taken
care of. This is how I made my mind to pursue a bachelor's degree in change management. I
