Human resource managers are responsible for performing a lot of activities related to
the hiring of staff, compensating the employee, ensuring workplace safety and better
employee relation, and training new staff to help them transition into new organisation
culture. Despite these functions, human resource managers sometimes receive numerous
complaints from their employees, such as insubordination, failure to obey commands and
instructions from above, and cases of sexual harassment. This article will examine
appropriate actions which a human resource manager can take to solve sexual harassment
cases of its employees. The article will also explore the management process, requirements of
government legislation and the use of technology in human resource management.
Solving sexual harassment issues among employees
A human resource manager should be familiar with the company policies, rules and
regulations, and they should implement those policies by defining what constitutes sexual
harassment. Additionally, they should sensitize and educate their employees about all
prohibited forms of behavior in the company, about providing the procedures which the
employees can use to lodge their complaints, about any conduct which instigates sexual
