Media Impact
Media is a very influential tool in the society today. Due to this reason, the media can
create opinions in people who may not be accurate or factual. In my own experience with the
media, it shaped my opinion during the Trump versus Clinton contest in the United States 2016
presidential elections. The media through its influence made everyone in the world believe that
Trump was an agent of hate who could not lead the United States citizens well.
The series of negativity on Trump by the media was characterized by some occurrences
which played a vital role in creating a wrong impression about Donald Trump. The latter was
accused of different sex assault allegations which came from different women. The media also
made me believe that Trump was a racist merely based on unsubstantiated comments he made
during his campaigns such as the construction of a wall between the United States and Mexico
and also claims on African Americans.
