Description
I need a essay for presentation the similarities of those two dances. I have a paragraph of it already, I want someone to help me to make the essay longer. I need the essay extend to 3 pages
Below is the paragraph that I have.
The first area of similarity is the kind of movements that the performers make during the dance. It is surprising to find two cultural forms from regions as divergent as India and Polynesia featuring similar kinds of moves. Seemingly, great posture is one of the qualifications of the players even before they get on stage. Flexibility is also an element of the moves of both Kuchipudi and Hula, and each of the dancers seems to express their feelings through the way they move their bodies. It should be noted that even with the highest level of flexibility, the dancers still reveal great talent in maintaining a smooth and coherent dancing pattern. In fact, both styles seem to emphasize the mellifluous movement of hands and head more than anything else. For example, each hand or arm movement in Hula represents a particular thing or item, for example they may be meant to represent plants, war, or love among others (Emerson 34). However, the footwork is more elegant in Kuchipudi than in Hula. Another peculiar thing about the two dances is that they were traditionally performed by men who could double as male and female characters in the drama performances. The dance moves of Hula and Kuchipudi must be completed without any mistake or error as this would be considered as disrespectful or a symbol of bad luck.
