We've read three different vampire stories for the end of the semester, so for this final prompt I would like you to analyze the development of these tales. How have vampires been represented in each of the story, and which one is your favorite? That being said, please explain your answer as thoroughly as possible, being careful to take plot, setting, character development, theme, etc. into consideration.
Again, this is another fairly informal prompt that I hope will lend itself to some interesting classroom discussion. We'll obviously need to wrap up our coverage of the novel today, but after I finish tying up what I think are the loose ends, I'd like to turn the classroom over and have you guide the discussion according to your responses here. Introduction
Vampires are the figures whose name strikes everyone's mind with fascination and horror
when it comes to the list of the literature epics. The undead stories down history have captivated
the imagination in every culture's perspective. These tales have become the portals leading to the
exploration of themes such as wishes, death, and the dark aspects characterizing humans. The
three novels, "Dracula" by Bram Stoker's, "Carmilla" by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu's, and "The
Vampyre" by John Polidori, are among the main works which gave birth to the modern day
vampire folklore and definitely made their imprint on it. Different as they may be from a literary
and narrative perspectives each of these novels gives Through taking a closer look at these
stories we open the path that leads to the birth of the whole myth of the vampire that continues to
be reflected not only in literature, but also in pop culture nowadays
