More than half of the ships sailing through the globe today belong to the Carnival Cruise
Lines. This is one of the most popular cruise lines which has around 24 ships operates across
America, Europe, and Asia. It is estimated that in 2014 Carnival Cruise Lines carried around 4.4
million guests one of the highest numbers in the cruise industry (Domke-Damonte et al., 2016).

Carnival Cruise Lines was started as a small company in America as a travel company.
Later on, it expanded its operations beyond and acquired more assets to operate effectively in
other areas in the world. The company also modified its services to focus mainly on the fun
experience targeting the newly wedded and those going out for a holiday. When it got a new
chief executive officer, the company announced that it was going to acquire three new passenger
ships in the next four years. In 1985 the first cruise ship was launched, and the other two named
