(Hutchison, 2013). Women’s contribution to philosophy was never included in the mainstream
philosophy. The nineteenth century presented a paradigm shift and women gained recognition in
philosophy. The introduction and development of feminism gave women a voice in philosophy.
The notion that women are more caring compared to men is wrong. The society and the
environment a person grow in influences how the person shows care. Some men are more caring
than women and vice versa. Additionally, people differ in how they express care based on their
gender. Care and justice operate at the same level depending on what importance a person places
on each virtue. But in present-day society justice is on a higher pedestal. People are always
advocating for justice and not care.
