The conflict
The employees in my department faces a generational conflict where they created some
groups based on their age groups. The elderly people stay together and the young people also
stay together. The department has lost the unity due to the complaints from all the four
generations. Each employee generation has constant complaints about the other generation’s
performance. They all have a common phrase that the other groups do not create a good working
environment for work. The young generation states that the old generation is old -fashioned that
they do not embrace the modern methods of caregiving. They also complain that the old
generation employees are slow in the caregiving and they have no skills in the new technology in
the healthcare department.
The second youngest generation complains that the young generation is too fast in the
caregiving which has increased the number of errors in the caregiving services. They complain
that the performance of the entire department is compromised because of the problem errors by
the young generation. The other problem is that the employees complain that the second oldest
generation does not care what happens and that they are lazy. They second youngest group is
noisy and lazy
This brought division in the department leading to a poor overall performance in the
organization. All generations want to work independently without the others....
