Describe some challenges students might face as service-learners in the community. Introduce your organization as a potential community partner. Introduction
Service learning is a practical educational approach that combines community services
and simple learning objectives that ultimately provides a desirable progressive learning
experience while also meeting societal needs. The students that are involved in service learning
projects are required to apply the knowledge that they learn in schools or classrooms for existing
local agencies to effect positive changes in their communities. This form of experiential
education enables students to engage in activities that address human and community needs
together with the set opportunities aimed at achieving specific results. Moreover, when these
learning goals are combined with community services, student growth is enhanced (Eyler, 2014).
The common good of the societal needs is ultimately achieved. Community partnerships are the
social agencies that partner with the community to offer the society some services that make it
