Question description

Read Mindset Ch. 2, 3 and 8 and write a one paragraph, double-spaced summary of each chapter.

Make sure to include the book's title (italicized per MLA format) and the author's name. In the last few sentences, you can reflect on your opinions about it, but make sure you first adequately summarize the author's points.

I have uploaded a Sample Summary for the type of summary I am looking for. And a pdf of the book

Joe Student English 28 January 10, 2015 ← This is how you format the top of your written assignments for English classes. Prof. Hofmann Get Ready to Vote! ← Include a title We all pay taxes without any arguing, so why can’t we all vote? This is an argument Eric Liu uses for a counter-argument in his article, “Should Voting Be Mandatory.” Liu truly believes voting should be mandatory and gives three main reasons to support his position. First, he argues that elections would be more valid and every vote from eligible voters will count. Second, our political leaders would be more responsive to the people who currently don’t cast in a vote. Third, it will give voters a reason to truly know who and what their voting for. The article was so well written that Eric Liu convinced me that voting should be mandatory. In history, people have fought, died, and risked their lives to be able to vote while many young people are born with the right to vote and don’t. Key: Start with a sentence that “hooks” your reader. Don’t overthink it. State the author and title of the reading, even if it’s the 8th report you are writing on the same book and author! It’s good practice to state the title and author of the reading you are summarizing. Then summarize what the author said. This means, say what the reading is about. It’s good practice to have to compress all the author’s ideas into just a few sentences. You can make this portion as long as you want, but remember, only one paragraph is required. Then, reflect on your thoughts about the piece. Was it powerful? Boring? Useful? Not useful? Can you relate to it? How? Etc

could think of all aspects of life, she managed to do completely different things and with time she
became comfortable with her lifestyle. She states that mindsets are very powerful beliefs that only
exist in mind and can be changed by changing the mind (Dweck, Gavin, & Gildan Media
