Though people get into the business world mostly with their businesses to generate profits,
some are there to paralyze some of the business operations by targeting the proceeds from the
businesses or some of the commodities transacted. However, there are enacted laws applicable in
the business world to ensure legal business practices. Some laws also exist to mitigate the
chances of people promoting illegal practices in a business. Despite the various laws, there are
still cases of crimes, including corporate and white-collar crimes. White-collar crime is any
crime that is a non-violent form of crime supported by public corruption. White-collar crime
constitutes bribery, mortgage fraud, securities fraud, embezzlement, theft, criminal fraud,
computer crimes, and violating state and federal regulations. Various articles discuss the criminal
acts in the business world and how different laws apply to mitigate the problem and punish the
