Belmond Village Senior Living are some of the longest serving nursing and rehab centres in
the United States. Under their respective leaderships, these facilities have undergone positive
developments to become excellent medical facilities bound by love, beauty and efficient care.
The organizational structure is made up of the director of operations, administrative/finance
staff, support staff, chief nursing officer, various nursing managers and direct support staff.
Roles and responsibilities of the administration in each department
The major role of the director of operations is to promote the achievement of the
organization’s goals. He/she is in charge of the administrative staff. Also, he/she is the image
of the organization other than the owner. Some of the duties of the director of operations
include sourcing for and procuring funds from investors or donors as well as take part in the
day-to-day care of clients. He is also responsible for authorizing employment contracts and
advising the owner on the best actions for the organization.
The administrative staff is made up of very few people including the accountants and
receptionists whose roles include preparing payrolls, utilities, taxes and a whole lot of
financial management. They also help in placing orders for supplies, responding to enquiries
via phone or email, managing the front desk and organizing human resource functions. They
are further responsible for engaging with clients on various platforms.
The support staff is responsible for ensuring the wellness of the organization. Their
responsibilities include cleaning the facility, changing beddings, and preparing meals.
Generally, they are responsible for maintenance of human and physical resources of the
organization. The chief nursing officer is the head of all direct caregivers in the facility.
He/she works closely with the director or operations and the support staff to ensure that client
needs are sufficiently attended to and that the goals of the organization are met. He/she is also


responsible for the coordination of nurses and nursing managers to assert that nursing care at
the facility meets international standards. Direct support staff is made up of nurses and their
assistants, and doctors whose role is to administer care to the patients.
Sources of financing available to consumers
Some of the services provided at the facilities include various types of therapies,
wound care, religious services, physician and special services; social services, beauty
services, dining and other related nursing services. Also, the facility offers short term rehab
after discharge from hospital, compassionate palliative for the elderly and the terminally ill;
and adult day care for those seeking company and supervision.
