1. List the effect of technology on air, water, and land quality
Technology is the purposeful application of information in the design, production
and utilization of commodities, as well as human activities in the organization. Technology
has posed severe environmental impacts to the quality of the components such as air, water,
and land. All the human industrial activities lead to air, land and water pollution affecting
the atmospheric air, land, and water.
Air pollution: exhausts cause the type of contamination from the vehicles,
industrial plants, and airplanes. The gases that are released as a result of the exhausts are
carbon monoxide and methane. The gases are discharged from open dumps. Since the
atmosphere is deemed as universal, there can be the conclusion that the air as the media of
the earth is contaminated universally albeit to different degrees.
Water pollution:

Water is another environmental component that has been

dramatically impacted by the technological effects to the environment. Majority of the
water bodies have undergone transportation activities. Such activities range from leaks and
oil spills to the water surface, discharge of water directly to the surface of the water, landfill
seepages contamination or dump sites. All these have resulted in adverse effects to the
water bodies, leading to loss of biodiversity.
Land pollution: Lands that are used for industrials such as manufacturing
factories, gas stations, mining activities and road construction activities have all led to the
contamination of the land after they have been used. A lot of chemicals, oil and various
substances released to the ground lead to dangerous effects on the living organisms that

reside on the land. Sites that are contaminated abound in all places in the world. Apart from
the chemicals released to the area, there are other wastes and debris that might lead to
dangers are abandoned on the sites.

2. List possible solutions for air, water, and land pollution.

Prevention of pollution is a primary concern due to its dangerous effects on the
health of individuals and the environment. Since all human beings dwell on the earth, every
individual becomes a stakeholder, and thus every person has a task to make the world a
better place by contributing to the essential prevention of pollution awareness. Protection
of the environment is an extension that is natural in caring for individuals and making sure
that the generation to have sustainable future.
We need to accept responsibility at a personal level to ensure the success of the
local environment that directly affects us. Everyone should engage in programs that are
geared towards environmental protection by participating actively in providing that the
situation is free from pollution. And even though everyone can control the corruption in
the immediate environment, there is need to together work on the policy and legislation on
a larger...
