the responsibility and obligation of the person entrusted with some information to keep it safe
and private. Confidentiality requires a person entrusted to handle information to ensure that it
remains secured and only accessible to the authorized people. For instance, a doctor should
ensure that he or she maintains confidentiality on all information related to the patients.
