Students who cannot attend are required to review the recorded session and submit a page-long, single-spaced synopsis of the session and submit to the dropbox in lieu of attendance.

Expectations of the course –

a.     Please be sure to meet the FNP program requirements including the minimum 540 clinical hours.

b.     If there are any issues in clinicals, i.e., not being able to meet practicum hours, or any issues in clinic, etc., please let me know ASAP so I can help.

c.     Midterm evaluation – If you know an idea time that works for your preceptor, please let me know.  

d. 135 hours with an NP by the end of the program

e. Extra SOAP notes (submit under the assignment tab and to PC) - turn in ASAP

2.    Tips for Making the Most of your Last Practicum Course.

1.     Ask your preceptor questions while in clinicals.

2.     This is your chance to pick their brains about practicing as a nurse practitioner.

3.     Ask your preceptor how they transition from NP student to NP new grad.
