Healthy People 2020 is a national partnership brought about by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in an effort to improve the health of all people in the United States. Every decade this partnership brings forward sets of objectives with science-based benchmarks to track and monitor health issues within the population with the goal of all people living long and healthy lives. Nursing and health promotion offers to this partnership the ability to accomplish these objectives.
