Ethiopia is one of the countries in the eastern part of Africa. There are many
challenges in the country. Some of the most affected groups in Ethiopia include the children
and the women. Similar to most other African cultures, the Ethiopian society is highly
patriarchal, which means that a high level of inequality exists between females and males
(Getahun & Kassu, 2014). With women being tasked with bringing up the children, these two
groups experienced major challenges in coping with the nation’s adversaries.
There are a number of needs that affect women and child in Ethiopia. One of these is
insecurity, and where the country has been under constant threats from the Al Shabaab
militant groups of Somalia and other militia from the highly volatile neighboring South Sudan
(CIA, 2018). At the same time, there lacks clean water and sanitation in the country. ...
