Description
(100-200 words) Science has been said to be like the process of picking at loose threads. The 50 years from 1895 through 1945 showed huge advances in the sciences. These advances include fundamental discoveries of the nature of matter, how to access the energy within the atom, and numerous other threads of knowledge. Where do you see science going in your lifetime? Be sure to include comparisons to the discoveries that led to the modern model of the atom.

Eastlake High School How Many Stars Can You See Questions
PART 1
This lab will give you a little bit of a feeling for how many stars are visible in the night sky. It's very easy (especially if you're living in a bright city like Los Angeles) to think that there's very few stars up there - this lab will help you estimate how many visible stars are up there, based on where you live!
For this lab, you'll need to print out the How Many Stars Can You See worksheet (attached below) - this is a pretty straightforward exercise, but there is a little bit of math that's involved - so be careful about that. Make sure that the answer that you calculate makes sense!
To submit your lab, simply type in your answers to the Word document.
PART 2
This lab will give you an overview of some of the different objects that are out there in the sky - you'll get to find several different examples of them.
