What is the purpose of the article?
The article aims at evaluating the relationship between the mother's mental disorders
and the effect they pass to the unborn child. The evaluation also focuses on the observation of
these effects till the child reaches the adolescence age. Usually, the aim focus looks at the
parent's behaviors during the pregnancy period that may be influenced by lots of
abnormalities such us lousy eating behaviors, unsafe practical activities, depression among
many others. Such actions by the pregnant women may lead to lots of health risks to the
unborn child.
What is the hypothesis of the study? In other words, what claims do the authors make
in the article?
Despite the indirect and unproven relationship between the pregnant mothers'
disorders and the born children, there are still probabilities of kids born adopting various
disorders; both psychological and physical. The author believes that children born to the
female parents with psychological and physical disorder conditions in addition to stress and
depression experiences also display abnormal behaviors in their adolescence age. However,
these disorders may be small or even insignificant to notice.
