War veterans are prone to mental injury due to exposure to harsh war conditions (Gilbert
& Hoxie, 2014). Therefore, it is of great value to resort to a number of strategies in order to help
them regain conscience and lead normal life just like other human beings (National Veterans
Foundation (2016). War veterans do require psychological counseling and any other form of
assistance they require in life. They should be told on the importance of engaging with other
community members to learn some values that will enable them fine tune their lives in society.
The federal government should assign family doctors to veterans in order salvage their
deteriorating mental problems. This is made possible by cognitive behavioral therapy
interventions.
