Background InformationWe talked last time about the differences between Marketing Orientation (MO) and Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO). This time, we will focus into what happened to the EO construct after the Miles and Arnold (1991) paper was written. There were some changes and improvements made to our academic understanding of the construct. This paper was written to connect the five dimensions of EO to how well a firm performs in the market. We will be focusing on the first half of the paper that goes in depth on each of the five dimensions: autonomy, innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, and competitive aggressiveness.
