Business Decision within the Organization

Apple Inc. remains one of the most intuitive companies in the world, with simplicity and
elegance of its portfolio that has made its market share among the most loyal. The company
products are designed in California but assembled in China and Taiwan. One of the primary
differences between Apple and other manufacturers is that the tech giant sources from other
manufacturers across the world, who funnel product parts to a single device. Apple Inc. operates
economically by sourcing parts from many suppliers. However, the devices are labeled Made in
China owing to the company’s outsourcing of assembling of the iPhone and other products in
China (Hartman, DesJardins, & MacDonald, 2014). The outsourcing factor is that the
corporation is trying to keep profits and spend little on labor. Apple Inc. executives have
maintained that other than the attraction of cheap labor abroad, foreign workers are characterized
by flexibility, industrial skill, and diligence that is unmatched by their American counterparts.

Potential Ethical Implications Associated With This Decision

Outsourcing decisions by Apple Inc. have been marred by controversy of labor problems
