Question description

Your response should be 400-750 words, in APA format, 12pt font, 1" margins, references page, etc. (abstract not required). Make sure to use a .doc, docx, or rtf file format and attach the file when submitting. Also, these assignments have a minimum of five (5) required sources. Look for real world examples in the news, peer reviewed journals, etc. For more information about the assignments, refer to the assignment and its grading rubric on Blackboard.

Video:

(See Module 4) Population pyramids: Powerful predictors of the future - Kim Preshoff https://youtu.be/RLmKfXwWQtE

Prompt:

The video discusses how changes in the population pyramid’s structure reflect changes in a country’s development, war, or other drastic events. Now, think about each line in the population pyramid as a population estimate of the number of people that will be in each age group in the future. Pick one of the countries whose population pyramid was displayed in the video and discuss what you think would happen if the estimates were off? That is to say, what could potentially happen to a country that is expecting a certain age breakdown across the country, and they are wrong. What if a country under or over estimates the number of children, or seniors they might have? Or what implications could here be if a country is wrong about the number of "worker age" citizens they have?

that the country will face in the future (Wilson, 2016). For instance, a population that is growing
older like the Japanese will need more investment in healthcare in the future, as elderly tend to
