For this module, we will use higher education, a culture with which we all engage now, and examine rubrics and diversity statements used to present and evaluate candidates' evidence of DEIB commitment. The individual assignment involves creating a rubric.

- Create: Imagine that you have been tasked to design a new rubric for a New York Tech search committee that can include the best features of the three rubrics above along with any additional categories that you think it important to include for New York Tech. Follow the guidelines for APA in-text citation and reference lists for any use of the models in your rubric

Step 1: Analyzing Existing DEIB Rubrics
The first procedure is to review DEIB rubrics from institutions already doing it, such as
UC Berkeley, Emory University, and the University of Louisville. All the rubrics have some
benefits in that they can contribute to developing the new design for New York Tech. For
example, UC Berkeley's model requires a granular analysis of LEAD statements, guaranteeing
that the candidates offer specific and complex examples and how the statements align with
organizational objectives. Emory University stresses the necessity of DEIB to be applied to
