Text 1 A perfect example of Human Dignity being supported in a business situation would be about my story with a T-mobile representative. I once had to arrange a payment plan instead of paying the whole bill all at once. When I was talking, my two kids came out from their room screaming as they were playing together. I couldn't hear what was the representative saying and I tried my best to escape to a quieter room. When I locked myself in the room and finally became able to understand what was she saying, I was shocked that she was still irritated from the noise and seemed uninterested to help me. The representative didn’t deal with me in a dignified manner at all. I asked her a number of questions regarding my issue I was calling about and she was very rude from my questions. I knew from her voice that that the line will get disconnected between us and that was what happened. As I had to dial again, another female representative took the time and effort to help me. Even when my kids’ voices got louder, she was very respectful and understanding. She helped me set the payment plan and also complimented my children and how they bring joy to our house. Text2 The common good is the complete development of all the people of the world. John XXIII describes it as ‘the sum total of conditions of social living, whereby persons are enabled more fully and readily to achieve their own perfection.’ An example of how I think businesses can contribute to the common good, as it is understood in Catholic social teaching is as follows: My wife’s family owns a bakery store in which they have a corner that has fresh products displayed for poor people, so they can take them for free. A number of poor families are living on these fresh products that the bakery offers for free Text 3 As it is defined, stewardship is the recurring theme in CST that speaks most clearly to how and why people should care for the commons. "It is a theme focused on explaining human responsibility for social structures, communal environments, and the global ecosphere.”. This concept is about the responsibility of each person to take care of their own possessions. An example would be about how companies make sure they are not hurting the environment with the manufacturing of their products. For example, Whole Foods Markets and how they sell only eco-friendly products and organic groceries. Text4 According to POFP, all should know that properties are the common bequest to all people and no one can own them individually since they belong to all humans. I like how my wife's family bakery have a corner for the poor to take fresh baked goods when they need them for free. Each day, they put a number of freshly baked goods bags and display them as (for free products). The bakery is making profits at the same time is helping the poor for free. Indeed, this helped their profits to reach higher than they thought at the beginning when they thought of this idea. They won the respect of the neighborhood and at the same time helped the poor by feeling what they feel when they want to have freshly baked products but they don't have the money for it.
