Description
Thesis:
How do (I) the essayist, frame the primary question I plan to address in my paper?
What is my primary motivation for my inquiry?
Philosophical Considerations: Power, ethics, intention, corruption
What is the "macro" or big question here--and why does it interest you. Moreover why should it interest the reader?
Economic Considerations: GDP, trade
What aspects of the (local) national economy are affected by the aforementioned problem? What are the prevailing impacts, benefits and shortcomings of this problem to the GDP of the country you are analysing, the region and the globe?
Sovereign Interests (Power): sanctions, power + relationships
How is the entity or region you are analysing exercising power? Hegemonically, unilaterally, by cooperating with its neighbors. What is the purpose of this power--what do you think is motivating them? How do their actions reflect on their allies and enemies?
Structural Considerations (Infrastructure, microeconomics)
Where does policy meet the marketplace? What types of structural considerations are most important or being overlooked? Which are "mission critical", without which, the state might fail or policy might not work? How does the issue you are analysing affect provisioning the most basic aspects of structural intergrity to the population at risk, or under consideration? What about more advanced aspects of infrastructure like energy, telecom, tech and military preparedness?
Regional Aspects
How does the issue at hand pivot at the regional level. What alliances are created? Are there sectarian, or seperatist groups forming--if so, what are their motivations and goals?
Individual Analysis
Lastly, what is your personal opinion--how would you as a geostrategist or leaders solve the issue at hand? How do you as a citizen of your home country and resident student of the US feel about this issue? Think in the shoes of a swiss person.

Abstract
Switzerland is neither a member of the European Union or the European Monetary Union
but its monetary policy has had a big impact on the globalization taking place in the Eurozone.
Besides, the current crisis in the Eurozone is one of the external factors that pose threat to the
economy of Switzerland and is the main cause of the rapid appreciation of the Swiss Franc that
leads to fluctuation in the exports, the rise in cases of unemployment and loss of tourism
opportunities. This paper will analyze how the Swiss monetary policy affects globalization in the
Eurozone in these recent years. The paper will examine the philosophical perspective of the
Swiss Monetary policy and its effect on corruption, ethics, and power of Eurozone globalization.
It will also analyze the economic perspective of the globalization in this trade area in terms of
trade and general GDP. The sovereign interests of Switzerland on the Eurozone, regional aspects
and structural relationships with the Eurozone members will also be analyzed.
Discussion
For quite a long time, the Euro currency and the Swiss franc have been at par in terms of
value and exchange rates. However, the monetary policies that the Swiss government took led to
the rise in the value of Swiss franc against the Euro currency, leading to more crisis in the
Eurozone. The Swiss National Bank implemented a minimum foreign exchange rate of 1.20
francs against the Euro currency making its currency overvalued as compared to that of the Euro
currency (Maegerle & Söderlind, 2013). The outcome has impacted on the Swiss balance of
payments and general economy characterized by high rate of unemployment, reduction in
volumes of exports and decline in the sustainability of Swiss tourism industry. Below are some
of the major impact of the Swiss monetary policy on the globalization trends in Eurozone.

The monetary policy implemented by the Swiss National Bank serves the interest of the
country, thus posing more threats to the Eurozone economic block. The main idea behind the
punitive monetary policies and measures implemented by this bank is to stamp the authority and
power of the country in the Eurozone trade area by making it almost impossible for the...
