The problem facing my current organization is that of high rates of employees’ turnover.
This is a human resource related problem that can be dealt with effectively if workable strategies
are put in place to counter the challenge.
Description of Airline organization
My current organization is an airline company (fictional organization) offering short-haul
airline services to the citizens of the country. The main customers of the organization include
businessmen who travel from different parts of the country and local tourists. The company
contains several employees as the main resources of the organization. Employees assist in
facilitating the day to day activities of the organization and serve the customers as required. The
goal of the organization is to obtain the greatest competitive advantage compared to other airline
companies in the country. To achieve this goal, the organization focuses on providing exemplary
airline services to its customers. The organization has human resource department that is
responsible for recruiting, selecting and placement of the employees in relation to their
qualifications and the vacancies available. The human resource department is also responsible
for ensuring the welfare of the employees has been met accordingly (Gan et al, 2018).
The context of the problem and the reasons why the problem exists
The human resource department of the airline organization faces challenges of high
turnover rates of employees. In this case, the number of employees who are leaving the company
each year is very high. The human resource department has been facing these challenges for a
long period of time and has adversely affected the performance level of the organization. There
are various possible reasons that have led to the turnover rates of employees to increase in the

organization. From the reports of the organization, the company keeps on recruiting new
members in the organization and after a short period of time, the recruited members are not seen
in the organization (Gan et al, 2018). Frequent cases of orientation program and the company
advertising on job vacancies indicate that the human resource department of the organization has
employee turnover rate problems. Strategies should, therefore, be implemented to reduce the
turnover rates in the organization.
There are various reasons that have led to increased turnover rates of the employee in the
organization. One of the factors is lack of training programs for the employees in the
organization. Employees usually seek for an organization that will help them to improve on their
skills and knowledge through training (Carnahan, Kryscynski and Olson, 2017). Since the
organization does not offer training programs to the employees, they leave the organization when
they get better institutions that will offer training programs to them and make them advance in
their skills and knowledge. The other cause of high employee turnover rates in the organization
is poor compensation schemes and poor working conditions of the employees in the organization
(Villas, 2016). The company pays its workers minimal amount of wages and salaries in relation
