Personal Brand Assignment Instructions
If you are interested in the field of social media marketing, it is important that you establish and maintain your own social media presence as an extension of your personal brand. Your personal brand is a marketing strategy focused on the most important product: YOU! It’s your reputation and the combination of your personal attributes that differentiate you from your peers.
During this assignment, you will spend time figuring out who you really are and what you want in life by working on your personal branding worksheet. This worksheet has been slightly adapted from the original version by Meg Guiseppi, personal branding expert and founder and CEO of Executive Career Brand (Guiseppi, 2017).
Defining your personal brand is an important step in your career as a student and a potential employee. A series of actions are required to develop your personal brand. You will work on a personal branding worksheet and then share your results in a presentation.

2. Create a PowerPoint presentation with one slide representing each step found in the worksheet. The PowerPoint presentation should include written answers for the questions from the worksheet as well as visuals to represent your personal brand.

Step 1: Identify your target audience
The healthcare industry's use of social media for marketing is my dream job. My desire to
provide powerful digital material that supports health and well-being is in line with this field. My
career goal is to become a Social Media Marketing Specialist with an emphasis on increasing
brand awareness, audience engagement, and brand presence for healthcare firms. I'm drawn to
the work because it combines strategic thinking with creativity, and it gives me the chance to
impact people's lives.
I used career sites like Glassdoor and LinkedIn to look up job ads for Social Media
Marketing Specialists in the healthcare sector in order to gain a better understanding of the
requirements of this position (Chen, Rui, & Whinston, 2021). Numerous job descriptions
emphasized duties including developing and overseeing social media campaigns, assessing
performance indicators, and ensuring material complies with legal requirements and corporate
messaging. Additionally, employers stressed the value of collaboration with cross-functional
teams, storytelling, and flexibility in fast-paced settings.
My research led me to identify some of the vital skills and qualities needed to achieve
this role. These include having a stable grasp of analytics equipment like Google Analytics and
Hootsuite, being proficient with social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and
Twitter, and having true communication capabilities. Experience with SEO, video production,
and upholding HIPAA compliance while handling personal scientific data is also valued by
employers.

Several job descriptions had the following common keywords: "digital strategy," "brand
engagement," "campaign performance," "content optimization," and "data-driven decisionmaking." These words will direct how I modify my brand to match the attributes and
competencies that employers look for. I want to establish a solid professional presence in the
healthcare and social media marketing sectors by incorporating these insights.
Step 2: Determine your Vision and Purpose
I see myself succeeding in a rewarding role as a Social Media Marketing Specialist in the
healthcare sector in a few years. I envision working with an enthusiastic organization to develop
effective campaigns that increase public recognition of health fears and encourage well-being. I
have established myself as an authority in developing enticing content material and optimizing
methods with data analytics.
The loss of access to dependable health information is one global difficulty that I would
like to contribute to fixing. By producing without problems readable and charming content
material that informs and empowers groups, I hope to close the gap through my work.
