Virginia Woolf’s Orlando reinvents biography, gender, and historical representation through the
creative hybrid between the fiction and the historical impressionism. Woolf subverts the rigid
boundaries of traditional biography by incorporating visual imagery, humor and fluid narrative
structure, as well as by manipulating the boundaries of the traditional ‘realist’ literary frame
