Chronic Disease Research – Ischemic Stroke
A Description of Ischemic Stroke
Ischemic stroke tends to arise from a decline in the blood flow that moves to the brain
system (Walter, 2022). This decline might contribute to significant damage to brain cells, thereby
triggering ischemic stroke (Walter, 2022). In most instances, the disruption in the blood flow
might occur due to blood clots (Walter, 2022). An in-depth understanding of the disease is
necessary for initiating appropriate preventive measures, which can reduce adverse health
implications.
The Signs and Symptoms of Ischemic Stroke
People with ischemic stroke are more likely to experience a sense of numbness in the leg

Steps to Prevent Ischemic Stroke
