Mesopotamia is remembered as among the civilizations of the world and among the
many activities that led to the development of industries and better ways of life was the making
of better tools. According to Wallech et al., iron was stronger than the mixture of copper and tin
required for bronze. Therefore, every worker and farmer had access to better tools which boosted
their production through better cultivation of land (44). The production of iron in Mesopotamia
changed a lot of things including the means of agriculture, settlements by farmers, and the need
to defend territory due to the availability of better weapons. The authority and power of the
Assyrians was reinforced by surplus of food and the ability to draft larger armies (45). Therefore,
the effect of iron on the Mesopotamian society was the empowerment of empires and increased
productivity due to better tools and weapons.

The Nile had a huge religious significance to the people of Egypt. Furthermore, the river still
holds a lot of importance to the people but also causes destruction. The worship of the Nile was
mainly through the floods which provided water for the people to farm. Osiris was considered as
gifting the people of the Nile with the water for planting crops which sustained them.
