The outcome measure for the VAP will be the percentage reduction in the incidence and
prevalence level of VAP in the intensive care units.
Another outcome measure will be the percentage reduction in the number of patients diagnosed
with VAP after mechanical ventilation.
2. Process Measure:
The percent of patients diagnosed and treated for VAP in the intensive care unit within the
hospital facility.
Average daily number of patients diagnosed with the condition and a percentage reduction in the
number of days projected for complete elimination.
