The three challenging issues that arose during the group meeting are sexual abuse, use of
illegal drugs and religious preferences. Sexual abuse can be defined as sexual activity that is
unwanted, incompletion or attempted, through the use of force by a perpetrator. This activity can
be engaged in if the perpetrator is making threats against the victim or is taking advantage of the
victim in focus without the consent of the victim. In most cases, the perpetrator and the victim
are familiar with each other. Given that it is unexpected, the victim may end up being shocked, in
disbelief or fear. This is in the short term. In the long term, the victim may suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety or fear. Group therapy is an effective treatment for the victims
while the offenders prove challenging to treat (Brooke, 2007).
Illegal drugs can also be termed as illicit drugs. They are not only illegal in the case of use,
but they are also illegal with regard to making and selling them. They are considered to be illegal
or illicit because they are a threat to one's life and even life. They have a negative effect on
