Provision of services aimed at recommending solutions that will address the company’s technological needs have been requested. Requirements to be met are: customer contacts management, order status provision, online shopping integration, processing of online payments, shipping and inventory management. There is a need to personalize user experiences by incorporating the business’ utilization of intelligent systems online. This need arises in order to enable users experience the difference between online shopping and shopping physically at a store. Additionally there is a need by the business to generate reports between its existing customers, the new online store, and other retailers. The use of social computing and intelligent systems will help give the consumers a good shopping experience because, unlike physical shopping, they will not be able to touch, try on clothes, or physically talk to store agents prior to purchasing. The systems will assist users through use of videos, product descriptions, product reviews among others. These will give the users the extra assurance they need in order to produce more online sales. Extensive research has been carried out on various major retailers offering online services, as requested by the boutique company, in order to study the business intelligence and online shopping systems in use. The resulting research report contains a comparison of the top four online retailers that will assist the boutique gain an advantage competitively. In order to have competitive advantage both in the brick & mortar and online domains, a

The recommended solutions will enable the business to address the challenges it is
currently facing to promote growth and sustainability in its operating process. The main
objective of the technological solution suggested in this report is to increase the presence of the
business in the online platform so as to attract the attention of other customers who spend most
of their time on the internet. With the implementation of the technological solutions recommend
in this report, the business will be in a position to sell customized products to its customers at a
reduced prices and within their conveniences, thus increasing the overall sales and revenue
earned from the business activity.
