Summary/Introduction
PEST and Porter's five forces strategic models are extremely useful in the evaluation of the
external environment of the company. The PEST or PESTLE analysis is a useful tool to identify
the changes in the company's external environment that may either create an opportunity for the
company or result in a significant threat to the company's position in the market share. The

buyers, suppliers, government) have on the company's external environment.
The evaluation of the company's external environment and, if necessary, the design of a new
business strategy to react to a substantial change in the external environment, is crucial for the
success of the company. In this regard, failing to respond to such changes would result in a
substantial loss in the company's market share that will decrease its profitability in the long run.
