Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to provide students with an opportunity to experience clinical scenarios that are relevant to the lesson content through virtual patient encounters. Upon completion of the case, students will defuse their feelings, document findings, and further explore the patient’s case through post-simulation questions. i-Human is a highly interactive and dynamic way to enhance student learning.
Course Outcomes
This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
- CO 1: Demonstrate a head-to-toe physical assessment. (PO 1)
- CO 2: Differentiate between normal and abnormal health assessment findings. (PO 4)
- CO 4: Demonstrate effective communication skills during health assessment and documentation. (PO 3)
- CO 5: Identify collaborative opportunities for health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention. (POs 1, 2)
- CO 6: Demonstrate caring and professional behavior during patient interactions. (POs 6, 7)
Due Date
Students must complete the i-Human Virtual Patient Encounter by Sunday 11:59 p.m. MT.

- You have two attempts at the case.
- Wear headphones or earbuds for the best listening experience.
- Take notes on the case.
- When you have completed a case, click Submit. Review the final score and feedback provided by i-Human.
- Scores are adjusted based on your performance level.
- Faculty will convert your highest score in i-Human to points earned in the grading rubric below.
