This report shall perform an analysis and a MATLAB examination that creates a Weibull
distribution model aimed at predicting the power output of any given region mean wind speed
through wind data analysis. Wind speed forecasting remains to be one of the crucial
requirements for any effective wind power operations and planning power system. Essentially,
there exists a number of variations and fluctuations of wind influence. This is based on the
atmospheric conditions, terrain and the weather that leads to difficulty in forecasting despite if its
long term or short term. This paper has developed a method of wind model speed data
predictions that depend on the seasonal variation of wind within a specific timeline like one year
through Weibull distribution model and an artificial neural network (ANN). Therefore, the
