Introduction
World War I came to an end in 1918 and the allied powers won while the axis powers
lost. This led to the emergence of two superpowers, the United States of America and United
Soviet Union of Russia. The effects of the war were not all negative but they were all felt across
the globe socially, politically and economically.
Many lives were lost during the war and despite being on the winning side, America lost
a great number of men in the war especially seeing that it lasted so long. There was also a lot of
migration as people moved to go fight for their country as other families moved around in search
