What do you think of their role in clinical research? Did you think the simulations were beneficial and do you believe you could describe the role of this character as part of the research team to others? Would this help you if you wanted to participate in a study as a participant? Or if a family member wished to participate? What are the most important things you learned about the “character?”
The role of Dr. Richard Sowers as respected Physician and Researcher to the research makes
him a significant part of the research or study (De Kock, 2016). He is pointed out at the end of the
exercise as a Model Principal Investigator and research integrity proponent. He is a charismatic
character who understands his roles and ensures that he balances his research and what he thinks is best
for his patients. Dr. Richard Sowers as a character is willing to learn new things to ensure he offers the
clients’ best services. As Clinical Research Coordinator, I learn through Jan Klein who violates
the protocols of the study by falsifying the data that it is significant to stay current and in
adherence to IRB approved protocols and regulations. A key to carrying out research studies
responsibly to ensure that all the staff of study has the essential support and resources to achieve
their activities and tasks (Vagle, Clements, & Coffee, 2017). As a Clinical Research Coordinator,
I need to make sure that there is sufficient training for all members of the staff participating in
the study conduct that include any new individual recruited after the research has started.
