Introduction
Stress in the working place is rampant if it is not handled appropriately. Stress can be
as a result of personal issues or the organization condition. Organization approaches can be
used in enhancing there is the prevention of stress in the workplace among the employees and
employers (Hicks & McSherry, 2006). Organizations can assist employees in managing stress
in different ways. Some of the ways that an organization can employ to manage stress
include:
a) Developing communication skills
Improving communication skills is very important in enhancing the relationship
between employees, employers and the supervisors. When there is an effective
communication across the organization there are minimal chances of developing any stress
related problem (VanEs, 2013). This is because when the communication is effective it will
help in encouraging the positive managerial behaviour. Eventually, there will be an
improvement in staff performance and also in supporting any operation related to their work
procedures. For instance, communication on praising a job well done or positive criticism.
b) Create positive organization culture
When the atmosphere in the workplace is not conducive there can be potential sources
of stress for the employees. This means that a positive organization culture can be effective in
ensuring there are proper means of managing stress (Hicks & McSherry, 2006). For instance,
this can be implemented through decentralization where team members are able to develop
their own objectives and come up with procedures for implementing them. They only consult
the top management for further clarification of events or duties. On the same, positive
organization culture can be enhanced through participatory decision making. This platform
