Abstract
Hooton, an American anthropologist, believed that weaknesses in body structures cause
criminality. He developed a biological theory in which he tried to compare the body futures of
various criminals. In the study, he found that criminals possessed body futures that were different
from that of others. After that, Hooton came up with a policy that all physically, mentally, and
morally disabled people should be eliminated from the community. However, other philosophers
named Merton and Ashley objected to the theory. Merton and Ashley argued that body features
of criminals are advanced than those of apes who are inferior creature close to a man and cannot
