Introduction
Women are affected by various body system conditions that may have an acute or
chronic nature. There are many diseases associated with women vaginal and other feminine
organs (Koblinsky et al., 2018). For this paper, vulvovaginitis and uterine fibroids will be
addressed covering their occurrence, diagnostic testing, treatment, mitigation through
training, and screening.
Vulvovaginitis refers to a condition characterized by infection of the vagina and vulva
that affects women of at any age. The conditions feel like an inflammation on the vagina
which the woman feels an itching pain. Various causes lead to the issue which includes
Bacteria, yeast, viruses, STIs, chemicals, and parasites (Van-Schalkwyk et al., 2015).
Bacteria are the leading cause of vulvovaginitis which is characterized by the discharge of
grayish white substance that has a bad odor. Yeast infection leads to itching and thick
discharge. Viruses associated with sexual infections and parasites such as live and pinworms
lead to infections. Additionally, the problem may result from chemicals such as dioxane,
sodium sulfate, parabens, and triclosan. These chemicals produced by sprays, soaps and many
other products used on the body.
