Today, the world is changing rapidly. Technology is redefining almost everything about
the planet and people are living in a seemingly different world. However, as these changes take
effect, it is quite essential to have an awareness of how the world changed to get to where it is
today. Presently, this is achieved through the maintenance of culture through what is referred to
as Cultural Resource Management. Cultural Resource Management, frequently shortened to
CRM, is a process where the multifarious pieces and elements of human heritage are protected,
managed, and conserved. In most cases, CRM is always viewed as archaeology. This is because
much like in archaeology, it involves the collection and preservation of ancient artefacts. This
paper takes a more in-depth look at what CRM entails and its importance to the United States.
