Read the Online Purchasing at McDonald’s case study on page 507 of your text book, and answer the three questions at the end.

With the technological revolution that is taking place in business, many companies
cannot keep evading the issue of incorporating technology into their daily activities, for
example, managing inventories (Khairunnisa, 2009). Those companies that have made a
change to the technological methods of managing their businesses have seen a change in the
right direction for their business. With that in mind, there is a number of techniques that
McDonald can use to convince the different franchises to adopt an online ordering system.
Firstly, for the franchise that adopts the technology, they will be able to forecast their
inventory in a better manner rather than having a person check the inventory manually. This
is because a person who is checking the inventory manually may end up missing vital details.
Secondly, a company with an IT-based ordering system can order and send the required
inventory to the individual franchise when an order is placed. This creates an efficient supply
