Executive summary
Being among the most successful companies in regard to production and supply of orthopedic
hardware that are used for repair of fractures and other forms of repair to the musculoskeletal
system injuries; the company has maintained a high reputation over years because of focusing on
high quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. Going by innovation the company has
introduced a new product, “resorbable hardware,” recently.
Industry Dynamics
Company Focus
Crescordia’s is among the most excelling companies when it comes to the production and supply
of medical equipment; in particular the orthopedics hardware that are needed for open reduction
and fixation or closed reduction and fixation; some include the plates, screws, wires and nails
majorly by the orthopedic surgeons for the repair of fractures
New Product Analysis

Crescordia in a dilemma, which the CEP, Peter Walsh is struggling with the issue about whether
the company should introduce the resorbable hardware to the production chain, though it can
cause many issues that influence the company's long-term strategies
Suggested Decisions

Based on my understanding about the company situation and faced issues, I agree on the
supporters’ ideas to introduce the new product, because a risky solution still means an
opportunity to grow the company up, but doing nothing always means nothing
Alternatives Evaluation Matrix
I develop a decision matrix to show the optimal strategy that Crescordia should take to solve the
key issue about whether to produce the imperfect resorbable hardware. In this matrix, I rank
some key factors from -3 to 3, which the greater advantages the company takes from the factor,
the higher the number the factor can get
